Berkhamsted is a thriving cricket club in Hertfordshire looking to continue the development in the 2024 season with a dedicated coaching team. The club has an expanding and improving junior section, with over 450 juniors, boys and girls. BCC has a strong senior set up too with 4 Saturday league teams, a premier league womens team, a T20 XI and a Sunday friendly team. We are looking to drive forward the development of our players throughout the age groups by adding a senior coach for the 2024 season. Applications are invited from interested candidates by Friday 12th January.

The Role

• Plan and deliver appropriate coaching at junior and senior sessions
• Lead All Stars sessions
• Assist with coaching for Saturday 1st XI and Sunday T20 XI on matchdays
• The coach will predominately be working with boys and men but there may be somework assisting with the women and girls sections too
• Coach cricket at a local school
• Assist at cricket camps during school holidays
• Work for the 2024 cricket season. 8th April 2024 – September 8th 2024

The Coach

Essential

• Minimum of ECB Core coach / Level 2 qualification or equivalent
• Current DBS
• Right to work in the UK
• Experience coaching junior cricketers
• Available from mid-April to mid-September

Desirable

• ECB advanced coach / level 3 qualification or equivalent
• Experience coaching senior cricketers
• Professional or club premier league playing experience
• School cricket coaching experience

The Package

• Competitive contractor rate - £5-7K (Dependant on experience)
