The Director of Cricket and Operations will initiate, lead and direct activities of all cricket-related functions of the Club, including liaison and involvement with cricket governing bodies, counties and academies and other external organisations, presenting MCC and Lord’s as the world’s finest cricket club and the greatest Ground. More broadly, you will provide support to the Chief Executive, helping to plan, coordinate and stage significant MCC events. In addition, you will operate as Secretary to the MCC Cricket committee and World Cricket committee.

A strategic leader with proven expertise in the delivery of excellence within the cricketing industry.
Ability to design, review and deliver long-term strategic objectives aligned to MCC’s wider aims and values.
Track record of effective, inclusive and pragmatic leadership with expertise in people management including oversight of complex, multi-discipline teams.
A practical understanding of delivery and management of operational objectives at scale; ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, governance and best practice.
Proven ability to develop and foster effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including the Executive Management Board, committees, the governing body, etc.
Excellent communication skills, proficient at presenting complex or technical information across all formats to a variety of audiences.
Excellent strategic and analytical skills capable of developing and implementing comprehensive plans within budget and in accordance with relevant governance.
An understanding of the demands and requirements of the cricket season including the ability to work flexible hours to support the successful delivery of all fixtures.
Experience in international cricket and awareness of global trends in the sport.
Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and adaptability within cricketing operations.
Understanding of sponsorship and partnership management, contributing to revenue generation and business development through Cricket Operations.
Strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives within the cricketing environment.
