Disability Development Officer

Surrey Cricket Foundation, in partnership with the Lord’s Taverners, is looking for a Disability Development Officer to manage, deliver and develop the Lord’s Taverners Disability Cricket Programme across south London and Surrey. Lord’s Taverners is a charity that uses the power of cricket as a tool for change; increasing confidence, communication, leadership, and independence.

The successful candidate will build on Surrey’s considerable success in this area, managing 10 community-based ‘Super 1s’ coaching hubs for young people with disabilities and providing a competitive structure for participants. This will include participation in the ECB’s ‘Super 9s’ softball Disability competitions. The Officer will work with Lord’s Taverners to provide participants with activities and opportunities beyond cricket that could have a significant impact on their quality of life and opportunities. The Officer will also manage delivery of the Lord’s Taverners SEND School programme, which provides table cricket and softball cricket for schools.

In addition, the Officer will oversee Surrey’s broader work in Disability Cricket including Wheelchair Cricket, Disability Day at The Kia Oval and supporting Surrey’s network of Disability Champion Clubs.
