
Head Coach – Hatherley & Reddings CC
The main responsibility of the role is to plan, coordinate and oversee coaching activities across HRCC, drive continuous improvement in HRCC teams and to help ensure a strong and sustainable cricketing future for the Club. The role will sit on the Cricket Committee and report to the Director of Cricket.
Key Duties:
Responsible for the coaching and development of all HRCC cricket teams and players
Plan and run twice weekly senior training sessions throughout the summer (April-September), plus preseason training (January-March)
Coach and oversee the 1st XI on match days throughout the summer (April-September)
Play an active role in team selection, particularly the 1st XI
Plan and coordinate twice weekly youth training sessions throughout the summer (April-September), plus preseason training (January-March)
Produce development plans for individual players (where required) and manage respective pathways between junior and senior cricket
Evaluate current coaching structure, with a view to growing, managing and developing our coaching team
Be a key member of the club cricket committee supporting colleagues in delivering all the Club’s on field objectives
Job Details
To have played at a good standard of cricket i.e. UK Club Premier League or above
Possess the motivation and enthusiasm to train and develop the playing squads
Excellent people management and communication skills are essential
Organised and proactive, taking the initiative wherever possible.
Have the passion and commitment for delivering the highest quality performance on and off the field
Have the ability to work in a diverse environment and allow everyone to feel part of HRCC
