
JUNIOR COMPETITIONS OFFICER – Devon Cricket
We have an exciting new opportunity for a passionate and engaging person to join our team to help drive cricket forward and inspire more people to experience cricket in Devon.
It is an exciting time to be involved in cricket and there is a huge opportunity within Devon to get more children and young people to say ‘Cricket is a game for me’.
This role will focus on increasing opportunities for children to play and compete in the club and school setting. A significant part of the role will be to organise and run competitions for Under 8s to Under 19s.

Required Skills & Experience
Experience of using the administrative and league elements of Play-Cricket.com or an equivalent system
An understanding of how junior competition frameworks operate effectively
Successful communication skills – you’ll be dealing with a wide range of stakeholders, parents, schools, clubs so communication is key!
An ability to stay calm in pressurised situations - you won’t be someone who gets rattled easily
Strong administration skills – you’ll be sending lots of emails, updating databases and keeping records and rules up to date, so strong admin and attention to detail needed
Flexibility – this role is full time - however, due to the seasonal nature of cricket you may need to adopt some flexibility of your approach to your working hours
A collaborative and connective approach to your work
An equitable manner and actively promote the principles of equality amongst colleagues and our partners
