About the role
Reporting to the General Manager – Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Content Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and management of CT’s marketing and content strategies, including online (social and digital) media and electronic direct mail publications for CT, Tasmanian Tigers, Hobart Hurricanes and Blundstone Arena, to drive fan engagement and achieve strategic outcomes.

The role will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to tell our story and drive engagement within our community.

Key to the role will be the ability to develop and implement marketing and content solutions across all of CT’s platforms, that create efficiencies, enhance brand, drive revenue generation and lead to highly engaged fans.

Required Skills & Experience
- Tertiary qualification in marketing, digital media, communications or equivalent, or demonstratable relevant marketing, digital or communications experience in a similar role (previous experience in the sporting industry is highly desired).
- Current Tasmanian Registration for Working with Vulnerable People with the registration class of Employee/Volunteer, or the willingness to acquire this registration.
- Strong experience in marketing, including digital marketing, social media implementation and integration within marketing programs.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing and content plans and strategies.
- The ability to undertake and interpret research and data, make sound inferences about future trends, target markets and marketing and content implementation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in building and sustaining strong, professional relationships, including the ability to influence strongly and effectively to achieve media and public relations objectives.
- Proven experience in partnering with and managing expectations of multiple and diverse stakeholders.
- Proven experience in operating in a fast-paced, complex business environment and demonstrating effective business and commercial awareness.
- Highly developed organisational and prioritisation skills and experience in managing multiple priorities and projects within tight timelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills, initiative, and flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficient computer skills in the Microsoft Office suite.
- The ability to be an effective team player who can work autonomously and flexibly (including working irregular hours in-season) in a dynamic environment.
- A passion for sport and entertainment and creating connectivity with fans.
