Men’s First Grade Coach

UTS North Sydney District Cricket Club (UTS NSDCC) is one of twenty clubs within the NSW Premier Cricket men’s competition and also competes in the NSW Women’s Premier Cricket

The club has a number of aims; of primary importance is that it has a robust strategy to help it remain viable, sustainable and financially stable, with the objective of competing successfully in
the short, medium and long term. We aim to be the best performing club in the NSW Premier Cricket competition.

With a strong, young senior playing squad, UTS NSDCC is looking for an inspirational and value- driven Men’s First Grade Coach who will shape, develop and lead the playing squad with the key aim of developing a team and squad that is challenging for First Grade Premierships (Belvidere Cup, Limited Overs and T20) within the next three years. The successful applicant will have
demonstrated a successful track record of leading and developing players, through the embedding of a high-performance culture at Premier Cricket level or equivalent. They will have
proven success in creating a collaborative, supportive, inclusive and standards driven team ethos at the appropriate level for Premier Cricket.

The role will be responsible for developing and implementing player development plans for the First Grade and senior playing group, which develop the long-term capability of our players to
compete consistently and successfully in Premier Cricket. The Men’s First Grade Coach will assist the coaching team on and off the cricket field to the highest possible standard of excellence and
professionalism, enhancing the UTS North Sydney brand and reputation.

Required Skills & Experience
• Demonstrated success of coaching and player development at Premier Cricket level (or equivalent).
• Minimum Representative (Level 2) Cricket Australia coaching qualification or equivalent, with High-Performance Coaching (Level 3) desirable.
• A current NSW Working with Children Check.
• A clear, demonstrated successful track record of working within a team, leading and embedding a positive culture with an ability to motivate and inspire, and remaining calm under pressure.
• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships across the Club and its stakeholders with
a clear, honest and tailored approach to communication.
• Ability to manage and measure individual player development, including setting clear objectives and challenging expectations, with an understanding of long-term player development and accountability.
• Effective time management skills.
• Commitment to keeping up to date with innovative coaching techniques and to proactively share knowledge.
