KGS has a growing reputation for cricket in the region, with a strong sense of supporting aspirational individual development, whilst helping all our students enjoy the game. The school are looking to appoint a part time coach to further enhance the quality of cricket coaching provision.

The role of the cricket coach is to be the main point of support for the Head of Cricket throughout the year across all age groups in the school. The individual should look to lead the delivery and planning of sessions, both coaching themselves and assisting the range of coaches within the school. There will be a requirement for clear communication, planning and cohesive thinking to contribute to a plan that monitors the progress of students from U12-U18. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and demonstrate a passion to develop cricketers of all age and ability.

We are looking for a coach who can communicate clearly to students and staff alike in developing a positive culture throughout the cricket programme. Significant experience is essential and should be supplemented by good organisational and administrative skills. The individual should be a role model to students, but also other staff in setting the tone for KGS cricket sessions through winter training and summer term. Saturday fixtures play a key part in the sports programme and the ability to commit to these timings is essential. The individual will also be required to coach Hockey during the autumn and spring term games option, previous hockey experience is beneficial.

The role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience plus generous benefits. It is desirable that applicants hold a Minibus D1 licence or that they are prepared to undertake driver training during their probation period.
