REGIONAL PROGRAMME MANAGER

MCCF is looking to hire two Regional Programme Managers, one to cover the South of the UK and one to cover the Midlands. The role of the Regional Programme Manager is to ensure that the Hubs in your region are delivered according to the standards of the MCC Foundation. You will be responsible for driving excellence across your area and ensuring all the Hubs in the National Hub Programme create a positive impact for individuals and the wider game. Each Programme Manager will be responsible for the Hubs in their region and for the relationships between the Foundation and our delivery partners. The role will include maintaining relationships with delivery staff at county boards, the women’s regional teams, other cricket charities, as well as local community groups to ensure that the programme is best placed to succeed. Visits to Hubs to monitor quality and support recruitment into programmes is crucial to the role.

MAIN DUTIES
• To liaise directly with the MCCF Executive Team to oversee the delivery of the National Hub Programme in your region in line with the MCCF Hub Strategy
• To work with the Head of Programmes to deliver the Hub Programme in line with agreed objectives in your region
• To support Delivery Partners in your region to effectively promote the programme, to ensure the Hubs are reaching those who will most benefit from the opportunity.
• To identify opportunities for programme growth in your region
• To build relationships with key partners including: Chance to Shine, Lord’s Taverners, ACE, SACA, Women and Girls cricket networks, local state schools, and other local cricket development groups.
• To arrange and lead regional CPD programmes in Autumn for delivery partners
• To visit all Hubs in your region at least once annually for quality assurance and monitoring and evaluation purposes
• To promote best practice within your region and nationally
• To identify new opportunities to increase participation through the talent pathways
• To facilitate innovative recruitment activities to support engagement with hard to reach communities
• To facilitate second-hand kit requests for each Hub in region
• To oversee MCCF’s M&E system in your designated region
• To book venues and oversee the delivery of round 1, regional final and semi final fixtures of the National Hub Competitions
• To support the delivery of the National Hub Competition Final
• To manage Hub competitions within your designated region
• To manage Regional XI sides in MCC out matches and other fixtures
• To coordinate and oversee delivery of regional ‘Springboard’ programmes
• To support with the recruitment and management of mentors in your designated region
• To identify and resolve issues relating to the performance of individual Hubs
• To collect and share success stories from individual Hubs, including but not limited to
progression onto the talent pathway, undertaking coaching qualifications, working and
volunteering in the community
• To support the Head of Fundraising when compiling donor reports for programmes in your designated region
• To keep records up to date on MCCF shared systems

Job Details

Required Skills & Experience
Excellent knowledge of the cricketing landscape in your region, particularly participation
programmes, County Cricket Boards, national cricket programmes, schools’ programmes,
and clubs.
• Good knowledge of and commitment to the work of the MCC Foundation.
• Passion for opening up access to cricket and its talent pathways for young state-educated
people from all backgrounds, and particularly for girls and those from ethnically diverse
communities.
• Ability to build positive and effective relationships, and excellent written and verbal
communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of best practice around safeguarding young people.
• Good level of IT-literacy, particularly with Microsoft and Google products.
• Excellent organisational skills, with close attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task.
• Flexible approach to work.
Pay rate
£36,000-£42,000 (dependent on experience)
