Regional Women’s Physiotherapist
Women’s and girls’ cricket is set to be transformed as part of an exciting strategy to Inspire Generations by connecting communities and improving lives through cricket, ensuring cricket is a game for all.
The Regional Women’s Physiotherapist will significantly impact on the development of the most able female cricketers within the London & South East region, within the new Women’s Elite Domestic Cricket structure. The London & South East region comprises the counties of Kent and Surrey, with Surrey CCC acting as the Regional Host.
Reporting to the Medical Services Lead, the successful candidate in the role of Regional Women’s Physiotherapist will be a key member of the Science & Medicine team, providing physiotherapy services across the South East Stars Academy and First Team squads.
The successful candidate will demonstrate high levels of clinical skills and ideally have experience working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy in an elite sporting environment. Registration with the HCPC and Chartered Society of Physiotherapists is essential.
The role will be based at the Kent County Ground, Beckenham and will also require travel throughout the region. The post holder will be expected to work evenings, weekends and possibly Bank Holidays. The Regional Talent Manager (RTM) will work across County boundaries in conjunction with their Senior Regional Talent Manager (SRTM), focusing on developing effective relationships with Counties’ Women’s & Girls’ pathways within the region. The RTM will connect County Age Group coaches, players and programmes to the new elite domestic structure within the London & South East Region ensuring there is a clear alignment between County, Regional and England Women’s Cricket Pathway programmes.
The London & South East region comprises the counties of Kent and Surrey, with Surrey County Cricket Club (SCCC) acting as the Regional Host. The senior and Academy programmes already in place for the region play under the South East Stars name and branding and a Regional solution to the new Emerging Players Programme funding is currently taking shape.

Undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy
At least 3 years experience of working independently as a qualified physiotherapist with experience musculoskeletal physiotherapy
Full Driving License is a mandatory requirement
Current advanced trauma management and emergency care accreditation (or ability to complete this in the near future if successful)
High standards of personal and professional integrity
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with elite athletes / teams including touring with high performance squads.
Experience working with youth / developmental athletes in a sporting environment.
