Role Overview: 

Trading is central to the provision of our Sportsbook; the quality of the trading function directly impacts both customer experience and revenues. The trading team is instrumental in delivering an engaging, competitive but profitable product.

What You Will Be Doing: 


  • You will be responsible for pricing daily and weekly specials across all sports and offering a best-in-class specials product. A strong maths and probability background is essential as you will need to price markets without a market comparison.


  • Challenges existing workstreams which will push the product further – will be at the forefront of suggesting and implementing new markets and/or products.

Process and strategy:

  • Implement and execute a price boost strategy which engages customers. You must be able to follow agreed strategy as well as raise opportunities to refine it.

Customer first:

  • You will have to understand our customers and be aware of what a good experience is and operate to deliver it.

Data Centric Approach:

  • You will be required to analyse and manipulate data to identify patterns and opportunities to improve.

Team Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior traders and analysts within the team. Collaborate with other departments such as data analytics, marketing, and customer support to optimize trading strategies and customer experience.

Required Skills & Experience
What You Need for This Role:

3+ Years proven experience in a Senior trader position or similar Role.
Passion for Rugby Union and Cricket, with specific knowledge of South African club and local leagues.
Extra marks for knowledge of South African Horse Racing.
Familiarity with trading platforms, algorithmic trading software, and data analysis tools.
Monitoring market movements and taking appropriate actions.
A good understanding of main markets pricing and correlated derived markets.
Calm and assured personality that thrives under pressure and working as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Experience and knowledge of Client analysis based on behaviour and betting patterns.
