The Role 

Exciting opportunity to join New Zealand Cricket and contribute to the growing momentum within the women’s high-performance programme in a key role that will have an influence on shaping the future of the women’s game here in Aotearoa

This contract role will be to support the WHITE FERNS Head Coach and Female Pathways High Performance Coach in the selection of national squads, including the WHITE FERNS, New Zealand A and New Zealand Under 19’s

This plays a part in our commitment to nurturing talent and fostering competitive success on the international stage.



  • Share media responsibilities with the WHITE FERNS Head Coach to educate and advocate for player selections
  • Rub shoulders with, and build robust partnerships, with the six Major Associations to foster strong relationships to ensure a transparent talent pipeline is established
  • Integrate with the WHITE FERNS, New Zealand A, Under 19 and Major Association environments


Key Notes

  • Fixed term contract 1 August 2024 – 1 November 2025
  • You will need a willingness to travel domestically to observe WHITE FERNS home fixtures, women’s domestic cricket fixtures and national tournaments
  • Monthly Retainer and regional travel budget allocated to role
  • April – October will require minimal input other than contribution to the selection of WHITE FERNS squads and facilitating the annual central contracting process
  • November – March is the bulk of the hours with requirements for watching/attending domestic cricket [majority of weekends] and WHITE FERNS, NZ A and U19 selection[s]
  • Must be NZ based but flexible location within NZ
  • The role does not have final say in squad selections, but is an independent contributor to the selection process
