About the Association:
Cricket is New Zealand’s premier summer sport and the Canterbury Cricket Association, formed in 1877, is one of six major New Zealand cricket associations within New Zealand.
One of the largest regions, Canterbury includes seven district associations: Buller, Canterbury Country, Christchurch Metropolitan, Christchurch Junior, Mid Canterbury, South Canterbury, and West Coast.
With 22,000 players, Canterbury Cricket manages all talent pathways from grassroots participation to professional teams, including the Canterbury Men’s and Women’s teams, Canterbury Magicians, and Canterbury Kings.
Reporting to the Chair, Jono Brent, supported by a highly skilled and collaborative Board, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for providing strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement to ensure the growth and success of cricket in the Canterbury region.
