Primary Purpose
This newly created role will provide key operational support to the Head of Clubs and Competitions,
as Northern Territory Cricket seek to transition from volunteer based competition management to a
professional delivery model. The role will add administrative punch and proficiency to our ability to
deliver professional and exceptionally well run competitions, offer great experiences, and ultimately
support the growth and development of local clubs.
The Competitions and Pathway Coordinator will also provide key operational support to the Head of
Cricket, as we seek to achieve sustainable participation growth in the Territory, and ensure the most
effective pathway structures are in place in line with Australian Cricket. The role will provide critical
administrative support to the delivery and management of male and female pathway programs,
helping ensure our most talented players, coaches and umpires reach their potential.

Key Responsibilities
Clubs and Competitions
- Provide primary support to the planning, administration and management of all aspects of the
Darwin and Districts Cricket Competition. - Coordinate the formulation of annual seasonal fixtures, ground allocations and other
scheduling related matters. - Develop an intimate knowledge and understanding of competition rules, regulations, playing
conditions and policies. - Coordinate competition management platforms and systems (e.g. Play HQ, Officials HQ,
FrogBox), including providing education, training and support. - Lead the coordination of standard weekly competition processes and procedures, including
captain and umpire reports. - Monitor compliance of competition rules and regulations including player gradings and
eligibility (imports), special circumstances and dispensations. - Support the competition disciplinary framework, including processing Code of Conduct
charges, coordinating judiciary panels, as well as managing and publishing records. - Liaise with local councils, schools and venues regarding seasonal ground bookings, finances
and issues management. - Support the coordination, processing and communication of competition finances and
invoicing, including annual fees, grants, penalties and prize money. - Assist in the education, implementation and management of sports governance policies and
standards including insurance, integrity, child protection and inclusivity. - Work closely with the NT Cricket Match Officials Association and Clubs regarding umpire and
scorer appointments. - Assist with the planning, coordination and delivery of club and competition meetings, forums
and workshops. - Assist in the construction, communication and collation of seasonal stakeholder surveys,
reviews and other feedback mechanisms that help drive continuous improvement. - Support the planning, organisation and delivery of annual competition finals, presentations,
awards and special events. - Drive improvement in the standard, quality and presentation of competition administration,
information, communication and record keeping. - Act as a primary point of contact and key communication point for day to day club and
competition matters and enquiries.
Pathways
- Assist in the planning, organisation and delivery of Northern Territory Cricket academy and
development programs. - Coordinate the planning and organisation of travel, accommodation and logistics for National
Championships (i.e. CA Underage, NICC, School Sport Australia). - Coordinate the planning, delivery and effective management of annual supplier processes,
including uniforms, balls, helmets and other cricket equipment. - Liaise with players, parents, coaches, support staff and match officials in the planning,
preparation and performance of pathway programs. - Assist with the construction and maintenance of up to date player, coach and umpire
databases, including male and female depth charts. - Support improved use and adoption of the Athlete Management System (AMS) throughout
pathway programs, including providing education, training and support. - Support the delivery of coach and match official development sessions, forums, workshops
and ongoing engagement. - Assist in the construction, communication and collation of surveys, reviews and other feedback
mechanisms that help drive continuous improvement.

protect the welfare of children involved in the sport of cricket. Northern Territory Cricket requires all
team members to hold a valid Working with Children Check.
