Summary of the Role:
To manage and support the operational, logistical, and administrative functions of Kent Cricket’s Pathway and girls KRDP Programmes. This role ensures the smooth delivery of boys’ and girls’ County Age Group (CAG) pathways, coordinates fixtures and venues, oversees safeguarding, and maintains effective communication and relationships with players, parents, coaches, and partner organisations.
Principle Responsibilities:
Pathway and Girls KRDP Cricket Operations
- Pathway Oversight: Oversee the operations of boys’ and girls’ pathway programmes
including the girls KRDP, ensuring high standards in planning, communication, and
safeguarding. - Fixture Coordination: Collaborate with coaches, managers, and venue staff to
arrange and manage fixtures for all CAG age groups and KRDP programs. Including
setting fixtures up on PlayCricket, and liasing with scorers, umpires, hotels and
caterers to ensure all matchday requirements are met. - Safeguarding Lead: Act as the safeguarding lead for CAG squads and KRDP
programmes, ensuring full compliance with ECB safeguarding policies and
procedures. - Player Registration: Ensure all players are registered on Play-Cricket and with the
ECB. - Team Administration: Provide administrative support to talent pathway squads (both
male and female) and girls KRDP, including scheduling, reporting, and logistical
coordination and social media posts. - Communications & Feedback: Manage communication and feedback channels with
players and parents regarding pathway programmes, maintaining transparency and
clarity. Attend meetings in person or via teams and take minutes. - Facility Liaison: Coordinate with clubs and other facility providers to meet training and
match requirements for pathway programmes. - Training Kit and Equipment: Arrange playing and training kit and other equipment
requirements for all talent pathway activities. - Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on all pathway
programmes, participants, and venues. Ensuring all staff have the correct, up to date
qualifications, or setting them up/signposting them to these online.
Facilities and Logistics Management
- Risk Assessment: Conduct and ensure comprehensive risk assessments for all
venues used for training, matches, and travel. - Canterbury Indoor School: Manage bookings for the indoor school for both internal
and external use, including duty roster oversight for instances where external
bookings do not have a Kent employee on site.
Key Partnerships and Relationships
- Internal: Work closely with the Head of Talent Pathway, Head of Women’s Cricket,
Senior Cricket Operations Executive, Venue Operations, Marketing &
Communications, Professional Playing Staff, and the Finance Department. - External: Liaise with the ECB’s Cricket Operations and Registration Departments,
matchday officials, touring teams, external partners (hotels, transport providers,
catering), and age group coaches and managers.
