INVITATION TO BID NO: CSA/15/2024/25
Cricket South Africa (“CSA”) is the national governing body for the sport of cricket in South Africa. It administers all aspects of South African cricket, men and women, both in the professional and amateur spheres.
BID DESCRIPTION: CSA WEBSITE AND MOBILE APP DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT, MAINTENANCE AND SUPPORT FOR A PERIOD OF THREE (3) YEARS.
NATURE OF SERVICE REQUIRED
Cricket South Africa NPC (“CSA”) would like to invite suitably qualified companies to submit proposals to design, develop, maintain and support the CSA website and a mobile application platform in order to enhance various stakeholder’s digital experience.
The objectives of the website and the mobile app are to:
- (a) Help various stakeholders find sought after information e.g. annual results, articles, fixtures, content etc.
- (b) Help various stakeholders to be more effective by saving them time through the implementation of SEO and easy-to-use interactive services (e.g. match, gaming, fantasy and interactive player stats solution, stadium history etc.).
- (c) Help various stakeholders to directly engage with CSA and / or CSA to directly engage with stakeholders through personalized communications (e.g. assist in building and managing an integrated CRM solution and online community, loyalty programme etc.).
- (d) Help various stakeholders to seamlessly transact online with CSA through mobile first applications e.g. match tickets, parking, merchandise, hospitality, concessions, access CSA partner’s products.
- (e) Allow CSA to commercial various inventory opportunities on both the website and app (e.g. page take overs, display banners, dedicated commercial page, user generated content etc.).
- (f) Assist CSA to develop deeper brand loyalty (e.g. Fan engagement, fan analytics, fan loyalty and marketing) through reinforced brand values (i.e. – content, interactives, tone, visual and language).
In addition, the CSA website and mobile application will be used to promote international, domestic and pathway cricket properties to meet CSA’s pillars of Excellence, Access and Inclusion while achieving CSA’s objectives of maximizing fan engagement through stadium attendance, global broadcast audience, online interaction and media coverage.

- Closing Date for Questions: Monday, 09 December 2024 at 16:00 PM
- Closing Date and Time for Bid Submissions: Monday, 13 January 2025, at 12:00 PM. The proposal must be emailed to bongat@cricket.co.za NB: It is the bidder’s responsibility to ensure that all parts of the bid submission have been delivered by the closing date and time.
