Cumnor Cricket Club (CCC) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Coach to lead and develop its junior and senior sections. CCC is a respected cricket club located in Oxfordshire, and has a proud history of producing and developing talented cricketers. The club has approximately 300 boy and girl members aged 5-18, and three senior teams which play in the Cherwell League.
In short – we are looking for someone who wants to play an integral role in leading the club to maintain its strong reputation so that it continues to thrive for future generations. The role requires someone who wants to be a central figure at the club, and involves working evenings and some weekends from mid-April to until early September.
Key Responsibilities:
● Junior and Senior Cricket Development: Lead, plan and manage cricket activities, mostly training sessions
● Planning and Innovation: Collaborate closely with the General Committee to strategise, plan, and implement sessions, develop long-term plans, recruit players, organise assistant coaches and communicate to parents
● Coordinate junior coaching team and volunteer team managers for each junior age group ● Play an integral role in the broader coaching program, actively engaging in coaching sessions and leading holiday camps
● Consistency of delivery: Work closely with the broader coaching team to maintain a cohesive approach across all levels
● Mentoring: Act as a mentor, providing guidance and support to players, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and achievement
