Mobberley Cricket Club is a vibrant club in the heart of Cheshire and a heritage that dates back to 1876. With an unparalleled setting, great facilities and newly renovated clubhouse, it is an amazing venue to play, watch and enjoy cricket. We are the major Sports Club in the village, where people from any gender, age, cultural background and religion are welcomed. We make involvement in cricket a truly enjoyable experience.
We host 3 senior sides and an Over 40s team, with a junior section of around 80 children, from ages 7 – 16. A new women’s team was introduced in 2024, which already has 30 members.

Job Profile:
We would like to recruit a passionate and ambitious Director of Cricket to help us produce a sustainable and inclusive playing membership base. The role will include creative responsibilities to form and implement a development plan that is aligned with achieving the clubs’ goals and will be defined and
agreed in a way that works for both the candidate and the club.
The ideal candidate for this role will come with a passion for coaching, and the energy to create a positive environment to recruit and provide sustained game improvement. The person in this role should be organised, energetic, approachable with strong communication skills and good at working in a team environment.
Talent development: Creating clear, sustainable pathways through the junior age groups, and eventually into senior cricket.
Recruitment: Bringing junior and senior players to the club who enhance the cricketing experience for all members.
Training: Creating and overseeing training programmes which deliver for all of the cricketing membership.
