Role Purpose
Sussex Cricket Foundation is the charitable arm of Sussex Cricket Ltd. The charity is the key delivery
department for community cricket across Sussex. You will be working specifically within the Disability
Cricket Team, delivering against key strategic national programmes, supporting community Disability
Champion Clubs, competitions and festivals, which supports our ECB Disability Action Plan.
In addition, you will be required to work within the Sussex Cricket Disability Pathway, supporting the elite
development of our county disability squads.
The post will join an exciting and dedicated coaching delivery team working across the whole of Sussex,
to help deliver our strategic aims. Candidates must be legally entitled to work in the UK.
We are willing to consider supporting candidates in gaining their coaching qualification (if they don’t
already have the appropriate coaching level) if they can demonstrate a passion and commitment for the
role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Delivering against key strategic programmes – The Lord’s Taverners SEND and Super1s
programmes. Sussex Cricket Disability Pathway – ECB Competitions and Leagues (Super9s, D40
and Visually Impaired). Delivery will be primarily based within West Sussex with some work
required across the wider county/country (when required).
• Support Disability Cricket Manager in delivering upon various SEND events and activation
projects across the wider county.
• Delivery against Key Performance Indicators based upon local need:
o Supporting Disability Champion Clubs
o Supporting the delivery, development and growth of Super1s Hubs
o Supporting SEND delivery, leagues, competitions and festivals
o Supporting the growth of Women and Girls – disability cricket
o Support the growth and delivery of the Sussex Disability Cricket Pathway
• Capture visual evidence (photos & film) of sessions in adherence with media consent
requirements for promotional and monitoring & evaluation purposes.
• Capture information and date (registers, head count, and EDI information/outcomes) of sessions
in adherence with GDPR, for monitoring & evaluation purposes.
• Identify and record individual or group case studies for promotional and monitoring and
evaluation purposes.
• Be prepared to undertake any other duties related to the work of these functions as required.
• Supporting matchday activation – FamZone / Sussex Cricket match-days and Foundation events
(occasional evenings and weekends).
• Occasional cross department working within the Foundation team as and when required.
General
• To carry out tasks in a timely, accurate and high-quality manner
• Deadlines for reporting, timesheets/expenses must be met by deadline set
• Maintain close working relationships with all Sussex Cricket staff and uphold the Organisation’s
shared values.
• Attend events, presentations and meetings which may involve some out-of-hours work;
evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Any other reasonable additional and related duties as requested by Line Manager.
• Full UK Driving Licence with access to car/vehicle with business insurance
• Relevant Cricket and or Sports Coaching Qualifications
• Valid First Aid, DBS & Safeguarding Certificates *(can be completed upon appointment)
