About the role
WA Cricket is looking for a diligent and detail oriented Finance Assistant with experience in payroll to join our Commercial & Corporate Services team. As a Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the payroll obligations at WA Cricket, ensuring timely delivery, accurate and insightful reporting and analysis. Additionally, this role will cover areas such as accounts receivable, staff reimbursement, credit card reconciliation and float reconciliation.
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, this role will join a high achieving team and work in a dynamic sports and entertainment organisation.
You will;
- Manage the processing of end to end monthly and fortnightly payroll ensuring they are checked, approved, and submitted within the payroll deadlines.
- Ensure employees are paid in accordance with relevant awards, contracts, organisational policies and relevant legislation.
- Maintaining employee records, contracts, ensure the integrity of data for payroll system and Time and Attendant system.
- Prepare payment for superannuation, payroll tax and group payroll tax reconciliation.
- Prepare all month-end related payroll journals.
- Generate accurate invoices and distribute them on a timely basis.
- Review and verify submitted reimbursement requests from staff members.
