Main Purpose of Job:
The Girl’s Pathway and Assistant Physiotherapist is responsible for delivering first-class
physiotherapy and rehabilitation support to our girl’s pathway cricketers to ensure optimal injury
management, recovery and return to play. The role focuses on close collaboration with the
Strength & Conditioning and wider SS&M team to maximise the physical capabilities of our
pathway cricketers, as they develop towards becoming professional cricketers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Confident, accurate and effective assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and
    overall management of Academy, Pathway & Senior cricketers.
  • Ensure excellent initial and ongoing communication with Women’s Senior Physiotherapist
    and coaching staff regarding assessment findings, injury status and management.
  • Lead and oversee injury management programmes for Pathway cricketers and work with
    Girls Pathway Strength & Conditioning Coach and coaching staff to facilitate return to play
    decision making.
  • Deliver high quality rehabilitation programmes for Academy and pathway cricketers and
    assist the Senior physiotherapist with overall squad management.
  • Provide match day and training day cover including preparation and emergency care for
    Academy and Senior squads as required.
  • Lead on pre-winter and pre-season screening for girl’s pathway cricketers and assist
    Women’s Senior physiotherapist with senior screening.
  • Formulate screening reports and liaise with wider SS&M to deliver bespoke programming
    to optimise performance.
  • Work with CMO, Clinical Director & Women’s Senior Physiotherapist to ensure all medical
    screening is completed i.e., cardiac screening
  • Ensure detailed and accurate electronic note keeping using ECB notes system in keeping
    with standards set by CSP and HCPC.
  • Proactively engage with the women’s game performance data system (insight 360) and
    ensure records are up to date on this system.
  • Engage with and contribute to the annual SS&M Audit in line with the CPA guidelines.
  • Engage and participate with in house CPD and maintain personal CPD to stay up to date
    with current best practice to continue driving the delivery of the service to the academy
    and pathway forwards.
  • Ensure Academy physiotherapy and medical stock is reviewed regularly, and appropriate
    ordering of supplies is carried out.
  • Work with wider SS&M/Player welfare MDT to provide excellent mental
    health/wellbeing and women’s health care.
  • To ensure the Club’s equity, diversity and inclusion policy and standards are always

    including adherence to the staff code of conduct and consistently advocating the
