Cricket East is the organisation responsible for the game of Cricket across Bedfordshire and
Huntingdonshire. We work closely with the England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and other key
partners.

Cricket East is responsible for the talent pathway programmes across Bedfordshire and
Huntingdonshire. The Head of Talent Pathway will lead the delivery of the Cricket East Talent
Pathway Strategy to identify and develop the highest potential cricketers.
Direct Reports: Talent Pathway Manager, Community Talent Champion, Cricket Administrator
(Talent Pathway), management of casual coaches.
Areas of Responsibility:

  • Contribute to the success Cricket East across all departments as a member of our Senior
    Leadership Team.
  • Ensure EDI good practice is embedded across the Talent Pathway.
  • Provide strong leadership and management of our Talent Pathway Team.
  • Lead the ongoing review and development of our Talent Pathway Strategy.
  • Lead and manage the operational delivery of our Talent Pathway programmes.
  • Be a visible and inspiring leader for our Talent Pathway coaching team.
  • Ensure an engaging and educational CPD programme is in place for the Talent Pathway coaching
    team.
  • Lead the ongoing review and development of our Talent Development Framework.
  • Lead the planning, monitoring and delivery of individualised and holistic development
    programmes for EPP players.
  • Ensure excellent organisation, administration and communication of the pathway programmes
    to provide efficient and effective programme delivery.
  • Manage the County Talent Pathway budget in conjunction with the Cricket East Finance
    Manager to include budget planning, monitoring and reporting.
  • Ensure the team provide effective communication with schools, clubs and parents of the
    selected players.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Bedfordshire County Cricket Club and
    Huntingdonshire County Cricket Club, to ensure the pathway is appropriately connected.
  • Comply with the requirements of the County Partnership Agreement and the Pathway
    Performance Review process to ensure that all related funding is awarded, and best practice
    followed.
  • Work closely with the ECB National Talent Managers to ensure the on-going advancement of our
    Talent Pathway.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Northamptonshire CCC and Sunrisers.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience of leading and managing people.
Proven track record within cricket, sport, education or a similar field.
Demonstrated ability in strategic planning, financial oversight, and operational management.

Ability to develop and implement a clear vision and long-term strategy.
Strong decision-making skills with a focus on evidence-based decisions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to and
engage with stakeholders at all levels.

High emotional intelligence, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with board
members, employees, customers, and other stakeholders.
