USA Cricket (“USAC”) is the National Governing Body (“NGB”) for the sport of cricket in the United States and is recognized as an Associate Member of the International Cricket Council (“ICC”). It is a non-profit corporation incorporated under the laws of the state of Colorado. USAC’s mission is to govern, regulate, develop, and promote the sport of cricket (including hardball, softball, disability cricket, including all forms of the sport of cricket) at all levels in the United States, and to enable the United States cricketers to compete in national and international competition successfully.

USAC currently supports more than 20,000 members and expects to grow significantly in 2025 and beyond, to unify the estimated 375,000 players, corresponding leagues, clubs, coaches, officials, administrators, and fans under the USAC umbrella.

POSITION SUMMARY :

The High Performance Director shall be responsible for the management of all elements of USA Cricket’s high performance National Teams and agreed upon national competition programs. The primary focus is to deliver a cricket system that delivers repeat successes of USA National teams on the international stage. The role will operationally lead key high performance strategic partnerships and manage national team coaches, managers, and pathways personnel, liaising working in collaboration with both the Men’s and Women’s Cricket Committee and Selection Panels.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead operational oversight of the HP Programs
  • Deliver HP strategy and priorities for the overall HP Program and effective national team campaign plans.
  • Deliver effective staff and people leadership across the HP cricket ecosystem aligning resources and effort to national team performance needs and requirements.
  • Establish and model effective National Team culture to all players, coaches and staff that hold all accountable to the USA Cricket Code of Conduct.
  • Manage and advocate for USA Cricket High Performance programs.
  • Establish role clarity and develop effective working relationships with USA Cricket HP Program Leads as well as governance committees and selection panels.
  • Manage HP budget, ensure expenditure is in line with agreed USA Cricket strategic priorities and objectives.
  • Support the development of operational plans and monitor their implementation.
  • Ensure the creation of Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for all players and staff within the USAC HP program, as well as athlete tracking and management systems.
  • Ensure the welfare of all players & coaches through the provision of high-quality trained personnel.
  • Develop purposeful and positive strategic HP relationships with key partners: ICC, USOPC, League, Club and Event ownership groups, coaches, support staff, match officials in order to promote best practice, upskill staff, influence behaviors and share relevant information.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Minimum level 2 ( Preferred level 3 ) cricket coaching certification with 8+ years of coaching experience with an ICC Full Member National team
  • First Class team or ICC Associate Member National team Working knowledge of high-performance cricket environments and performance, current trends in inter national cricket formats , and international playingconditions.
  • Working knowledge of high-performance, analysis, and monitoring technologies as they apply to cricket.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to establish and maintain relationships with diversegroups of players, coachingstaff, management, and Board members.
  • Meticulous planning, coordination, and organizational skills
  • A deep understanding of the challenges facing Associate Member cricket and/or the development of cricket in the United States.
  • It is desirable that candidates are US Citizens or Permanent Residents, but if not, it is essential that the chosen candidate can successfully apply for and procure a visa to live and work in the United States.”
