Drumaness Super Kings Cricket Club are seeking an experienced, passionate, and committed Player/Coach to join our club for the 2025 season, based in the village of Drumaness Co. Down and competing in Section 2 of the Northern Cricket Union.

The coaching role will focus on the continued progression of ever-growing youth and ladies cricket teams.

As a major driving force within our club, you will be a natural leader who can inspire and develop players of all abilities. We are looking for someone with a strong cricket coaching background and the cricketing ability to play for the club’s 1st team.

Job Role:

• Play for the senior men’s 1st XI in NCU Section 2.

• Deliver excellent, energetic coaching sessions where all children and female players can develop their skills, get challenged, and have fun.

•Organising outdoor ladies and junior training nights on designated evenings.

• Run our free summer cricket camp for younger kids.

•Contract will run from 1 April until the end of the 2025 season.

Key Performance Indicators will be used during the season based on: –

1. Participation numbers within the junior and ladies’ membership.
2.Performance of junior and ladies cricket teams in their respective leagues.
3. Increased technical abilities of junior and female players.
4. Individual performance within the first XI team.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hold a minimum ECB level 1 coaching qualification (or equivalent).

• Must have recent experience playing in NCU Premier League or Section 1. Experience of working with children.

• Have an excellent working knowledge of all aspects of player development – technical, tactical, and physical.

• Good organisational and communication skills. Candidates must be confident in their ability to lead a group of women & children.

• Police clearance and ability to work within UK.
