About the role

The South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) is looking for an Education Lead to be responsible for the coordinating, planning and delivery of SACA requirements and obligations as part of the Diploma of Sports Management. The Leader is required to manage relationships with internal departments, students and Flinders University representatives. This role is parttime with the potential to grow to fulltime in 2025.

The SACA is one of the nation’s premier sporting bodies, with a vision for cricket to be Australia’s favorite sport – a sport for all Australian’s. Operating within the sports and entertainment industry, SACA offers an exciting and dynamic working environment, and is responsible for overseeing and developing cricket on a State level. 

The SACA is responsible for coordinating international and domestic cricket matches, Premier cricket matches and community carnivals, coaching and development and pathway programs for girls and boys, coaching, umpiring, volunteer development and ground management. It also administers high performance cricket in South Australia, including the South Australian Men’s and South Australian Women’s teams and Adelaide Strikers women’s and men’s teams.

Required Skills & Experience

·         Demonstrated experience managing various programs and multiple stakeholder groups.

·         Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, positively representing the business at all times

·         Ability to deliver timely solutions and develop strong relationships with different levels of staff, senior management across the organisation and external clients

·         Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and time management skills

·         Ability to carry out duties autonomously, and work effectively in a team environment

·         Intermediate to advanced MS Office and sound knowledge of Microsoft Outlook

·         At times available for work outside core business hours

 

·         Understanding of the secondary/tertiary education system.
