We are a small, friendly cricket club located in the village of Warton, near Carnforth in the North West of England. We are located on the southern tip of the Lake District. The club was founded in 1907 and has a long and proud history of cricket in the local community.
We currently have one senior men’s team, that have competed in the top division (Division 1) of the Westmorland League for the last 50+ years. For the 2025 season, we’re looking for a top order batter to join us, ideally someone that likes to bat time, build an innings and allow the rest of the team to bat around them. It would be desirable if you were able to supplement this with spin bowling as well.
We’re a family club that very much relies on volunteers to keep the club running. We also have an expanding junior section. It would be desirable if the candidate bought into the club off the field and were able/willing to help coach/mentor some of our junior players.

We’re open to listen to all offers but this opportunity may well suit someone looking to gain their first experience in playing in the UK.
