About the Role 

Indulge your passion for high performance sport and the development of players to be at their best.

You will lead the development, implementation and management of the Strength & Conditioning strategy, in line with the high performance development strategy, based at Auckland Cricket Association.

You’ll be a key member of Auckland Cricket’s high performance team, at the same time working collaboratively with NZC and the S&C community and other specialists to ensure a consistent and structured approach to the development of players and an environment of learning, challenge and continuous improvement.

Your primary focus will be elite players, supporting them to achieve their development goals, through individualised and holistic physical conditioning programmes and the use of methods that promote best practice in an elite sporting environment.

Required Skills & Experience

You must have either 2 years’ full time (or 5 years’ part time) experience with a 1st Class, international, professional or elite team, or, you have worked for at least 3 years in a high performance sport programme working with elite athletes.
A post graduate degree in sport and exercise science is preferable.
A passion and an ability to understand and apply S&C principles to cricket is essential, together with excellent organization, collaboration and interpersonal skills, and strong knowledge of sporting programme development.
You’re a team player with great communication skills and a passion for sport, preferably cricket.
This is a fixed term agreement for two years.
