About the role

This is a standout opportunity to play a key role in leading effective cricket competitions, carnival administration and growth in South Australia.

 

Reporting to the GM Community Cricket, the Head of Competition Experience will play a key role in our efforts to remove barriers to entry and participation, easing volunteer burden and ultimately providing seamless and positive experiences for cricket competition and carnival participants and volunteers.

 

The Head of Competition Experience will work with a wide range of external stakeholders to collaborate, develop and implement strategies that will grow and streamline competitions and carnival administration. The role will focus on providing outstanding experiences for participants and stakeholders.

 

As an experienced leader they will manage and mentor a team of direct reports and model SACA’s values – accountability, team first and world class. They will be responsible for creating a positive culture which supports innovation, initiative, professional development and the achievement of results.

Required Skills & Experience
· Experienced people leader with demonstrated success and experience in coaching, developing and mentoring staff.

· Experience driving a high-performance culture and leading a team to achieve KPIs.

· Demonstrated change management skills.

· An ability to lead and implement strategic priorities to maintain and grow competition administration.

· A track record of instilling a growth mindset across teams and comfortable with being hands-on, whilst thinking strategically.

· Excellent project management, presentation and communication skills.

· Demonstrated ability to influence, establish and maintain strong relationships with varied and diverse stakeholders.

· Experience in proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement in competition management processes and systems to continually improve cricket participant experience.

· Experience in using metrics to uncover insights and opportunities for growth and innovation.

· Proven budgeting skills and ability to manage a significant internal cost centre.

· You enjoy being part of and building a positive working culture.

· You will hold or be willing to obtain a valid working with children check.
