Ashmanhaugh and Barton Wanderers Cricket club is a progressive club, with the 1st XI playing in one of England’s best leagues, the Thurlow Nunn ECB East Anglian Premier League (EAPL). Historically successful, the club, following an extended period of dedicated rebuilding, is now very much on the rise.
Post-COVID, ABWCC has expanded from 2 Male Senior teams to 4 ahead of the 2024 summer, doubling participation and more importantly, creating a pathway to senior cricket for our crop of incredibly talented youngsters.
The 2nd XI has had multiple promotions (2019 & 2021) and the 3rd XI, only added to Saturday League Cricket in 2022, were promoted at the end of the 2023 season.
It is, however, the 1st XI that have had the most amazing journey to date. Since the return to full competitive cricket in 2021, the 1st XI have secured 3 consecutive promotions and play-off victory in September 2023 sealed the club’s first foray into the EAPL. The club is on an all-time high and now is the appropriate juncture to take the Club to the next level, there is no better time to be involved.
